The girls and I went to my sister's for two days.. like I mentioned in the previous post. Got back home around 11:30 last night, the girls both asleep i the car for the last part of the drive( which took place in heavy rainshowers)
The first day we went to Oslo to take a walk along a part of the Aker River. My oldest took this photo of the rest of us, my sister, niece and my youngest.
Wonderful weather, good temperature, lovely scenery and a couple of blisters on my toes (which were tended to by a footbath in the evening accompanied by lots of good white wine)
Here are some pictures from the walk.
An old factory building made into an apartment building
old English style houses buildt for some of the factory workers around the 1900.
One of the factories.
A little lucnh break outside one of the buildings that the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) use for their soap series "Hotel Cæsar" My sister in the middle and my niece in front (and my oldest in the back of course)
I played a lot with my new camera on this walk....
This was made to remember the hardworking factory women
more playing with my camera by a little waterfall
of course we crossed severa small bridges. On one of the- a hanging bridge - this was found on the post ("I can hold 100 men, but not if they march across to the same beat")
we saw a lot of nice houses- some also made for birds..
I will post some more from our walk around the botanical garden by the Munch museum, too- but not until tomorrow..
Today I have bee doinga little bit of cleaning; vaccuming, cleaning floors, dusting.. None of it a fun activity- but rewarding afterwards.
No knitting done at all. Sooooooo tired of cotton- I loooooong for wool!
